We Buy Back Yards is the brainchild of Seattle natives Louise Hansen and her brother John, born from their shared vision to help homeowners unlock the hidden value of their properties.
Louise brings over 30 years of experience in remodeling, more than a decade in new construction, and over 4 years in property development. Her hands-on background in general construction and plumbing gives her the unique ability to oversee every phase of a project—from complex remodels to building detached accessory dwelling units (DADUs).
Together, Louise and John created We Buy Back Yards as a full-service, concierge-style solution tailored specifically to backyard development. Louise leads the entire process, expertly navigating city regulations, coordinating contractors, and managing construction—ensuring homeowners can transform under-utilized backyard spaces into profitable, livable investments with confidence and ease.
